Fairfax, December, 2014: Community Hospital-Fairfax (CH-F) is proud to announce a major quality initiative.  CH-F will be seeking DNV accreditation. DNV accreditation is a prestigious designation sought by hospitals across the United States. Hospitals qualify after undergoing a thorough audit process comparing the hospital’s performance to industry quality standards determined by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and DNV.

“We are inviting DNV into our facility to take a look at everything that we do. They are experts in healthcare delivery and standards. We are committed to being a leader in our region for quality. DNV will push us even further toward this goal,” explained Roger Steinkruger, Interim CEO at CH-F.

CH-F has performed successfully on other industry wide measures such as customer service, where the hospital is a leader among its peers in the region.  Ann Schlueter, Director of Strategic Planning, explains that seeking accreditation is the next logical step toward greater quality.

“The DNV process is very rigorous. We look forward to being challenged to new heights of performance,” stated Ann.

The DNV Accreditation process is a three year commitment. During this time, CH-F will receive annual unannounced surveys in which auditors will be onsite for 4.5 days. In addition to these visits, CH-F will learn and implement ISO 9001, a performance improvement system.
