Ashlee Driskell RN was recently made Director of Home Health and has become certified in Oasis, a tool that assists in measuring outcomes and processes in Home Health.

Community Hospital-Fairfax Nurses Expand Learning and Services to the Community: Home Health and Lactation Consulting

Community Hospital-Fairfax is proud to recognize Ashlee Driskell, RN and Ashley Alsup, RN for their dedication to their community and to their patients. Both have pursued and recently been awarded certifications that demonstrate expertise in their field.

Ashlee Driskell, RN and Home Health Director was recently awarded the Certificate for OASIS Specialist-Clinical. This achievement includes a 100-item, two and half hour exam. The certification demonstrates that Ashlee has superior knowledge in OASIS, a data set required for use in home health agencies across the country to measure outcomes and processes.

Ashlee has recently been appointed the Director of Home Health Services at CH-F and is excited to use her knowledge and passion for her patients and community in this position.

“The Oasis training is another tool that I can use to better serve our home care patients. I look forward to growing the home health department to serve this wonderful community” explained Ashlee.

Ashley Alsup, RN and obstetrical and charge nurse at CH-F has also pursued and successfully completed her certification as a Lactation Counselor at CH-F. This certification by the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice requires Ashley to complete 45 hours of training and successfully pass an examination.

Ashley is now prepared to help new mothers meet their goals for breastfeeding newborns. She will be available for mothers delivering at CH-F to help them and their baby in their breastfeeding journey.

“I want to help moms delivering at CH-F to reach their breastfeeding goals, whatever they may be.  I'm available during their pregnancy, after welcoming their new baby at CH-F and after they go home.  I really want to encourage all mommas to call Community Hospital to schedule a tour of the Labor Suites. During that time, we could also chat about any questions or concerns about breastfeeding, some breastfeeding basics, and the opportunity at CH-F to hold your baby skin to skin after birth” added Ashley.
