Human Resource Executive: 

Our Leadership Team is looking for the right individual to join us in providing Human Resource services to our employees, allied health professionals and physicians.  Community Hospital is a private, not-for-profit, 25-bed critical access acute care hospital. We have three family medicine clinics which provide primary care to our rural communities. We pride ourselves on providing excellent care to patients in Atchison, Holt and western Nodaway Counties in Northwest Missouri.  Our vision is to be valued and respected for the quality healthcare provided by professional and caring individuals.The HR Executive will partner with our leadership team to ensure our strategies, practices, and policies support and maximize the talent and contributions of our employees. Our organizational structure must be aligned with the management of people in order to achieve our overall business strategy and objectives. The right individual will bring the combined talents of being a strategic partner, must possess broad general HR expertise, have the ability to interact and collaborate with a diverse customer group as well as being organized to ensure the myriad of transactional HR tasks are performed on a daily basis. A bachelor’s degree is required, master’s preferred. HR certification such as PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-SCP is highly desirable. 3 years of progressive experience in the HR field is also required.

Nurse Practitioner Manager:

The Manager is accountable for the overall management of the Advance Practice Nurses/Family Nurse Practitioners (FNP) staff covering the Emergency Room ensuring the quality and integrity of the services provided. The manager will provide leadership, coordination of schedules, workload priorities and oversight for quality patient care for mid-level providers. Coordinates staff to ensure emergency care to patients as defined in the Collaborative Practice Agreement and the Missouri Nursing Practice Act.

At the direction of and in full collaboration with the physician, services include but are not limited to ordering, conducting, and interpreting appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests, prescription of pharmacological agents and treatments and non-pharmacological therapies, providing inpatient clinical documentation, and other duties as assigned/delegated by the physician through the Collaborative Agreement. Provides oversight of the Family Nurse Practitioners practices and administrative activities including fiscal, material and human resource management.

Qualifications Include:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and an accredited Masters Nursing Program (for graduates after 1993 only). 

  • Current State of Missouri RN License; BLS, ACLS, and ATLS. If required certifications are not current upon hire, must complete within six months.

  • Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a designated Nurse Practitioner, i.e. A.N.P., or F.N.P.

  • Emergency Room and Intensive Care nursing background preferred including management experience.

  • Must be able to demonstrate a high level of problem solving and decision making abilities to respond to employee and/or physician issues and concerns, evaluate staff for retention, and provide coaching and mentoring as needed.

  • Must possess excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills to communicate with employees, physicians and external parties.

  • Must possess the ability to convey a professional image, as well as effectively represent the organization as appropriate in its relationship with the community. Knowledge and/or experience in its relationship with the community. Knowledge and/or experience with regulatory compliance is preferred.

This position is a M-F 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. working manager position. 

Nurse Practitioner:

Days M-F working part-time (averaging about half time) to provide primary family care in one of the three clinics located in Burlington Junction, Mound City and Oregon.

Qualifications Include:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and an accredited Masters Nursing Program (for graduates after 1993 only.)

  • Current State of Missouri RN License; BLS, ACLS and ATLS. If required certifications are not current upon hire, must complete within six months.

PLANT OPERATIONS:

Director of Plant Operations: Community Hospital-Fairfax is looking for the right individual to join us in providing leadership and management for our Plant Operations.  Community Hospital is a private, not-for-profit, critical access acute care hospital. We have three family medicine clinics which provide primary care to our rural communities. We pride ourselves on providing excellent care to patients in Atchison, South Holt and Western Nodaway Counties in Northwest Missouri.  Our vision is to be valued and respected for the quality healthcare provided by professional and caring individuals.

Provides overall direction in managing plant operations including engineering, maintenance, grounds,environmental services and laundry. Coordinates work assignments and activities related to above activities. Schedules maintenance, construction and repair activities of all buildings, grounds maintenance and utilities. Schedules activities requiring outside contractors. Provides technical knowledge, support and assistance in implementing the organization's seven (7) management plans. Coordinates with Infection Prevention to ensure safe and appropriate housekeeping and laundry practices. Demonstrates ability to effectively manage departments, quality service, budgets and staffing. Work in conjunction with quality oversight to ensure accreditation standards are met for the physical environment. Participates in work load of overall Plant Operations Department, as needed. Serve as the chair of the Safety Committee.

 QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • High school or trade school graduate. Bachelor's or trade school degree preferred, High School with experience considered.
  •  5 years' experience in supervision and maintenance with installations, construction, maintenance of equipment, utilities and buildings.
  • Healthcare plant and facilities operation preferred.
  • Knowledge of Centers of Medicare (CMS) and other regulatory requirements preferred.
  • Must demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills.

DIETARY POSITIONS:

Food Service Worker, Part-Time 24-30 hrs/week: Performs a variety of tasks to provide patient and cafeteria service including stocking of supplies, cleaning and floor care. Operates and maintains dish machine and equipment according to standard practices and procedures.  Comply with regulatory requirements. Qualifications Include: High school education or GED. Familiar with kitchen equipment helpful but not required. Will train and complete training in modified diets, sanitation and equipment usage.

CLINIC POSITIONS

Clinic LPN: ​Work as needed in one of our three clinics in Mound City Family Medicine, South Holt Family Medicine in Oregon and West Nodaway Family Medicine in Burlington Junction. Provides nursing care to outpatients, guided by physician orders, the patient plan of care, standards of care, policies and procedures, and the nurse practitioner; documents an accurate record of the patient’s course of treatment based on the plan of care and disease process. Qualifications: Current Missouri LPN Licensure. Flexibility a must. Entry Rate: $13.17/hour with credit for related experience paid.

Clinic Receptionist: Full-time Monday thru Friday with some flexibility required. Registers all patients seeking medical services at Community Hospital clinics and operates as the communication center for Clinic to ensure the needs of patients, staff and physicians are met.   Entry $9.36/hour plus credit for experience with full benefits. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED.

IMAGING POSITIONS:

PRN Radiology Technologist:  Community Hospital-Fairfax is seeking PRN Radiology Technologist to help operate the radiology equipment to make clinical diagnostic X-RAY and CT Films as directed by physicians and perform routine diagnostic procedures according to established standards of practice. Qualifications Include: Graduate from an accredited program in radiology technology and currently licensed.  Requirements include at least two shifts per month, with weekends and holiday schedules included.  Position open until filled.  EOE. Radiology Technologist Entry: $19.45/hour-credit for experience paid.

LABORATORY POSITIONS:

Medical Technologist or MLT: Seeking full time medical technologist OR MLT to perform all laboratory activities to insure that quality laboratory services are being provided to the patients on a continuous basis. Ability to work unsupervised, multi-tasks and adapt to changing workload. Qualifications Include: Bachelor of Science degree in biology science or related field. Twelve month internship at certified school of Medical Technology/Affiliation with a national registry such as ASCP or equivalent. Entry Wage: $20.43/hour-credit for experience paid.

NURSING POSITIONS:

Registered Nurses: Primary job functions include providing and performing oversight, delegation and coordination of total nursing care with other health care providers to meet holistic care needs of patients.  Provides care by physician orders, patient's treatment plan, policies and procedures and standards of care as well as acts as a resource person for other staff members.  Job Qualifications Include: RN: Missouri RN License, BLS, ACLS. Staff RN Entriy: $22.52/hour-credit for experience paid.

Licensed Practical Nurses: Primary job functions include performing total nursing care with other health care providers to meet holistic care needs of patients. Qualifications Include: Missouri LPN License, BLS and IV Therapy Certification. Clinic LPN Entry: $13.17-credit for experience paid. Staff LPN Entry: $14.52/hour-credit for experience paid.
