Annual Appeal

As 2012 draws to a close, another year at Community Hospital-Fairfax ends with an update and appeal to our hospital family. It is the time of year when we reflect with thanks on the past and look ahead to the future.

Healthcare has been in the state and national spotlight more than ever in the past year. How to control costs, increase quality and better serve the patient is important to everyone from patients to legislators to healthcare providers. Here at Community Hospital-Fairfax, we know that fundamental change to healthcare is coming. We are not merely waiting for change to come to us, instead, we are preparing.

In 2012, we initiated a patient satisfaction survey and customer service training program to learn how we can better serve our patients. We are conducting the first Community Health Needs Assessment, which involves surveying the entire community and then proposing how we can meet the needs we discover.

Clinically, we continue to strive toward more services by offering the first digital mammogram to our area, new radiology procedures and welcoming Family Physician, Dr. Erica Gillette, to the CH-F Primary Care Clinic. We embraced a new Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement program which includes a focus on Core Measures (a national quality program).

As we prepare, we thank you for your support during 2012. Even though healthcare may change, you can be assured that our commitment to our community will not.

We ask for your partnership as we prepare for the future by purchasing a blood coagulation machine for our laboratory. Used often before surgeries, with patients on anticoagulates and necessary for our stroke protocol, the coagulation machine is extremely important for our patients. We humbly ask that you consider a donation toward this important piece of equipment. The following giving options are available:

Donations to Community Hospital-Fairfax are tax-deductible and checks can be made payable to Community Hospital-Fairfax and returned in the enclosed envelope to PO Box 107, Fairfax, MO  64446 or delivered to the Development Office.

We thank you again for being a friend to the hospital. Words cannot properly describe our gratitude for your support.
