The Community Hospital-Fairfax speaker's bureau provides the public with people who are willing and able to speak to groups on a particular topic. Our staff provides in-depth, interesting and informative discussions on a variety of topics. Learn about general hospital happenings and an overview of services. Myra or Ann provide information on the new hospital building project as well as new physicians, clinics and activities.

Ann and Jennifer enjoy speaking about the Development Department’s activities. Learn about how the office creates fundraising events for the hospital. Also, Ann presents information on job shadowing, volunteering and scholarship opportunities.
Infection Control
Any member of the hospital’s Infection Control Committee.
Topics available through the Infection Control Committee vary from proper hand washing technique demonstrations to staying healthy during flu season. The committee meets often and can tailor programs that work for your organization.

Beth will present ways to help stop the spread of germs in your home, workplace and places you come in contact with every day. She can also explain how Community Hospital-Fairfax prepares for a pandemic outbreak.

Suzanne is able to discuss common concerns and questions about Medicare. She can help the public understand how the differences between traditional Medicare and Medicare Managed Care (Medicare Advantage and Part D, the prescription drug program) effect individuals.

Home Health
Jeanie Mackey, Dir. of Home Health
Home Health Services can provide assistance in the lives of your family and loved ones. Jeanie will provide information on what is available through the program. She can also tell your group about who is eligible for Home Health and how to decide if Home Health Services can help you and your family.
Asthma Education
Jackie Martin, RN
Jackie will give your group an overview of adult and/or pediatric asthma. Specific topics include signs and symptoms, maintenance and treatment. Jackie can also discuss allergies related to asthma.
Ready Kids!
Ann Schlueter, Dir. of Strategic Planning and Beth Mackey, Dir. of Radiology, Disaster Preparedness Team Member.
This program is designed to teach kids how to prepare for disasters by providing them with Ready Kit supplies. Each kit contains items needed in case of emergencies. The program consists of making a family plan, organizing needed supplies and learning about safety during a disaster.
