Compassionate Care. Close to home.

Dr. Ireland now seeing patients at CH-F

Dr. Emerson Ireland is no stranger to Community Hospital-Fairfax.

He graduated high school from Fairfax in 1962, his wife, Donna was a nurse’s aid at the hospital and his oldest son was born there. Dr. Ireland has even been a patient at Community Hospital-Fairfax. He had his tonsils taken out as a boy, followed by an appendectomy and other procedures.

Those ties to Community Hospital-Fairfax are what brought him back when he was asked to help the Emergency Services and Fairfax Family Practice after Dr. James K. Hunter moved in July of this year.

Dr. Ireland said his experience with Community Hospital-Fairfax has always been a positive one.

“It’s a friendly, small-town hospital. It’s more of a hands-on hospital that you won’t normally find,” he said.

Dr. Ireland has experience as a long time private practice physician but has also spent years working in numerous Emergency Care facilities, including the West Plains, Mo. Trauma Center and the local E.R. in Richmond, Mo. where he lived for several years.

Community Hospital-Fairfax welcomes Dr. Ireland and the services he provides for the community. He is available to patients through Fairfax Family Practice by appointment and will be available at Community Hospital-Fairfax’s Emergency Room services.
